Publishing and exporting
Publishing and exports
Choose between saving a project, downloading content and sharing a release.
Save a project to keep editing it, export a file to use it elsewhere, or publish work for other people to access. You may need all three, but saving alone does not prepare a download or a product listing.
Save editable work
A saved project revision keeps work you can return to in its editor. Check that your latest changes are saved before preparing an export or publication.
Export for another environment
An export produces a file or build for a particular use. Audio files, sampler banks, project source and installed plugins are different deliverables, with different dependencies.
Export your work explains what to check before moving to another application.
Publish for other people
Publishing makes a selected result available through the supported delivery flow. Think about the title, description, playback example, included assets and who should have access.
Publishing plugins covers the preparation needed for an instrument or effect. For banks, use the sampler guide and its detailed reference.
Keep access and rights clear
New Studio module projects start public, including remixes. Review visibility before adding material you want to keep private. Public or unlisted modules let people who can open them read their latest saved source and make copies. Content rights and visibility explains sharing choices and what happens to existing copies.
The current terms and the product's license govern use and sharing. Check the license for each recording, model or other asset you include.
Prepare a business around the work
Selling on Maru explains marketplace early access, listing preparation and the commercial questions to settle. Publishing a free page, enabling paid access and receiving earnings are separate stages.
For a connected product, plan licenses and product access alongside account consent. Use creator reporting to understand adoption and sales, and maintaining a product for updates and support.
