Publishing and exporting
Export your work
Match the download to the place where you want to use it.
Choose an audio file to bring the sound into a track, MIDI to play notes with another instrument, a bank for a sampler, or a plugin build for a DAW. Keep the editable project as well if you want to change how the instrument works later.
Audio and musical content
Audio files can be imported into an application that supports their format. MIDI contains musical events rather than the instrument's sound; you need a suitable instrument to hear it in another application.
Keep the tempo, note range and other context you need when moving material into a session. Check the result after import rather than assuming the receiving application will reproduce every setting.
Sampler banks
A bank needs its recordings and mappings together. Studio's Download MAS gives you one .mas file with the bank's sounds, mappings, presets and artwork. Download ZIP packages the same content in an archive you can extract.
These banks play in Maru Sampler, whose native app and plug-in are separate releases. You can create and distribute a new instrument bank without compiling another plugin. Follow bank creation to make one directly in Studio or reopen an exported bank.
Plugins and project source
A native plugin must be built for a supported format and platform. Choose from the release's available downloads and follow DAW integration.
Project source is for editing and rebuilding; a DAW cannot load it as an installed plugin. Developers preparing builds can use Check, build and export.
Websites, games and hardware
A website may use an embedded player or host integration. A game may import audio or use a specific game-engine effect integration. A hardware destination needs an exact device target.
Choose the supported path for each environment. Exporting a plugin does not automatically produce a game-engine package, a rack embed or device firmware.
Before sharing
Save the revision and open the exported files in their intended application before sharing them. Include the assets and instructions the recipient needs, and check your rights to redistribute them. Publishing and exports explains how a download differs from a public release.
