Quick start

Notifications and email

Keep up with replies and releases, choose in-app or email updates, and manage newsletter subscriptions.

You can keep replies in your Maru inbox without receiving an email for each one. Notification preferences control community updates; newsletter subscriptions are managed separately.

Review your updates

Open account settings and find your notification inbox and Notification preferences. Your inbox shows recent updates and their dates. Open an item's link to return to the relevant work or conversation, use Mark as read for an individual update, or Mark all as read to clear the unread count. Choose Load more notifications when older items are available.

The inbox can include comments, replies, followers, releases, remixes and announcements. An item may become unavailable if the underlying work has been removed or you no longer have access to it.

Choose in-app and email delivery

Under Notification preferences, find the topic you want to change. In app controls that topic's delivery to your Maru inbox. Email controls supported messages to your verified email address. For example, you can keep Replies in your inbox and turn their email delivery off.

Each switch saves when you change it. Wait for the update to finish and check any error before leaving. A dash means that channel is unavailable for the topic. Push is marked planned and cannot be enabled yet.

Changing delivery preferences is separate from marking an existing notification as read. Use the inbox controls when you want to clear unread items.

Choose your newsletters

Under Newsletters, subscribe only to the emails you want:

  • Products and releases: instruments, effects and sound collections.
  • Learning and tutorials: guides, tutorials and creative ideas.
  • Company news: Maru news and community stories.

These switches are separate from community notification topics. You can unsubscribe here or through a newsletter's unsubscribe link. Newsletter controls require a verified email address; the page explains when verification is needed.

If an update or preference is missing

Confirm that you are signed in to the intended account, then check the topic and delivery channel. An unavailable email switch does not mean an error: some topics are in-app only. If saving fails, keep the visible error and contact support with the action you tried.
