Compressor
A full dynamics compressor with a filterable detector.
Catch low-frequency bursts and hear what you remove.
Auto follows low-band level and its rise against a slower background estimate. Protect sustained reduces persistent attenuation on held low notes; Level only follows the threshold without that gate. Set Cutoff to the affected range, then use Threshold, Amount and Release to tune the repair.
Listen to Removed to check what the repair takes away. Manual applies a constant low-band reduction and can be automated by a host; the module does not select or edit recording regions. Its detector is not a speech classifier, so vocal onsets and other low-frequency transients can also trigger it. The included synthetic burst demonstrates detector behavior rather than recording quality.
Start from a named sound, then adjust the instrument to make it yours.
A one-pole low-pass extracts a low band from each channel. A linked stereo detector controls band attenuation, capped by Amount, and the reduced portion is subtracted from the original signal. Auto uses fast attack and adjustable release, with optional transient gating; Manual uses a fixed reduction.
Processed and Removed sum back to the input. During playback, the solid response curve follows the current Processor gain and filter coefficient; without fresh telemetry it shows a labeled idle model. Auto's Processed and Removed views also show a dashed bound for the maximum selected reduction. There is no lookahead, so the beginning of a burst can pass before detection responds.
