Install and safety
Beta. The author marks this release as beta.
Coming after hardware verification. Maru will offer installs only after its own installer has completed a full install and restore on a physical M-VAVE FM-1, and only for open-source releases whose authors have been told.
- Put the unit on stock V15 first, and keep your own copy of the stock file from M-VAVE’s downloads (opens in a new tab) so you can go back.
- Back up your presets with the current firmware’s own export before installing.
- Rescue: Hold OCT− alone while switching on to start in USB rescue. (fm1-editor.com directory).
- If something goes wrong, follow the recovery ladder.
- GitHub's latest tag still reads v2.6 while the author's directory entry lists 3.4; check the installer page for the current build.
- The author also maintains the FM-1 Firmware Hub.
