It is sold by the author and installed from the author's page after purchase. Maru only links to it.
Install and safety
Untested. No compatibility reports yet. Maru has not tested it on hardware.
Coming after hardware verification. Maru will offer installs only after its own installer has completed a full install and restore on a physical M-VAVE FM-1, and only for open-source releases whose authors have been told.
- Put the unit on stock V15 first, and keep your own copy of the stock file from M-VAVE’s downloads (opens in a new tab) so you can go back.
- Back up your presets with the current firmware’s own export before installing.
- Rescue: Hold OCT− and OCT+ while switching on to boot stock firmware until the next power-on. (The author's documentation).
- If something goes wrong, follow the recovery ladder.
- US$29 one-time on the author's site, including 1.x updates (checked 2026-10-12).
- Built on top of stock V15; its install page can also put V15 back.
