Before uploading confidential work, review who can see the project and which services will process it. The [Privacy Policy](https://maruaudio.com/privacy) explains what Maru collects, who can access it, and your data choices.

## Read the current policy

Read the policy's sections on AI processing, service providers and deletion for the workflow you plan to use. The [Terms](https://maruaudio.com/terms) explain content permissions and service use. A private project is hidden from other users, but authorized staff and service providers can access it for the purposes described in the policy.

## Think about content visibility

Studio module projects start public. Set **Share → Private** before adding private material. An unlisted link lets its recipients read saved source and make a copy; changing visibility later does not recall those copies.

[Content rights and visibility](https://maruaudio.com/help/content-rights-and-visibility.md) covers recordings, source, generated material, paid assets and public embeds.

## Connected services

An integration may receive the information needed to perform an action. Read its consent screen and relevant policy. [Connected apps and permissions](https://maruaudio.com/help/connected-apps.md) explains where to review access.

For a product you create, explain which service receives a request and where results are kept. A local helper, your own server and a hosted generation service can send data to different places. [Creator apps](https://maruaudio.com/help/creator-apps.md) explains which account information and actions your product can request.

## Delete data or request help

To remove creator work, open [General settings](https://maruaudio.com/account/general) and review **Delete my creator data**. Keep a copy first: deletion is permanent and does not remove other people's existing forks. This action leaves your sign-in account in place. [Account settings](https://maruaudio.com/help/account-settings.md#remove-your-creator-data) explains the confirmation and how to get help with incomplete removal.

For an account-deletion or data request, [contact Maru](https://maruaudio.com/contact#help). The [deletion policy](https://maruaudio.com/privacy#deletion) explains retention and exceptions. Do not send confidential project files or credentials with the request.

## Organizational requirements

If your work needs specific data handling, procurement evidence or compliance documentation, [contact Maru](https://maruaudio.com/contact) before submitting sensitive content. Confirm the requirement and available evidence explicitly.

For access concerns, use [account security](https://maruaudio.com/help/account-security.md).
